GUIDE: Experiencing Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be officially opening on November 15, 2024, at the Disneyland Resort. When it does, guests will get to experience the next chapter in the story of Princess Tiana, Naveen, Louis the Alligator, and other familiar friends from The Princess and the Frog. There will also be some new friends and new catchy music to enjoy as well!

With the opening of this new attraction at Disneyland, there are some important things to keep in mind to get the most out of this experience. Below is a comprehensive guide for what you need to know about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!

Virtual Queue

When Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens in the newly renamed Bayou Country, guests will be required to utilize a virtual queue to experience it. Access to the virtual queue is complimentary. There will be two THREE opportunities each day to join the virtual queue. They are at 7:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 4:00 PM. Here are the details for each of these virtual queue opportunities:

  • 7:00 AM – Guests must have a reservation for their ticket or Magic Key that begins at Disneyland to access this virtual queue.
  • 12:00 PM (noon) – Guests who have entered either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure will be able to access this virtual queue.

The virtual queue may be accessed via the Disneyland App. Ahead of the opening moment of the virtual queue, guests should be sure to:

  • Log into the Disneyland App before the virtual queue time.
  • Be sure tickets/Magic Keys for the entire party are linked within the app.
  • Turn notifications on for the Disneyland App to not miss the return window or updates regarding the virtual queue.

Joining the Virtual Queue

  • Shortly before the time to join the virtual queue, click on the join virtual queue link on the main page of the Disneyland App.
  • Select Disneyland Park.
  • Confirm your party.
  • Right before the top of the hour (literally seconds), start refreshing the page.
  • The moment “Join Virtual Queue” turns blue for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, click on it!
  • At this point, you will either receive a group return number to experience Tiana’s Bayou Adventure or will be informed the virtual queue is full. If full and it was the 7:00 AM window, try again at noon.

Riding Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

A notification will be sent from the Disneyland App when your group number is called. You will need to return during this window to experience the attraction. Here are a few things to keep in mind with this attraction:

  • You will most likely get wet! Be prepared to get wet. This could mean wearing a poncho (found at retail locations throughout the park), or simply wearing a big smile to accompany a sense of adventure. It also might mean grabbing a waterproof bag or towel from Louis’ Critter Club (shop across from the exit of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure) to protect your phone.
  • If you have guests in your group under the 40″ height requirement, utilize the complimentary Rider Switch offering. Kindly ask a Cast Member for assistance.
  • Arrive during your group’s window!
  • Pay attention to the queue! The story for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure doesn’t just happen while riding aboard a log, it happens the moment guests enter the queue. There are some fantastic details that can be found while making your way through the line!
  • Smile! During the big drop near the end of the attraction, your photo will be taken.

Guests can also access Tiana’s Bayou Adventure with the purchase of a Lightning Land Multi Pass. This is subject to availability and will allow guests to book an arrival window to the Lightning Lane entrance of the attraction.

Downloading Disney PhotoPass Attraction Photo

After experiencing the attraction, guests will be able to access a complimentary digital download of their attraction photo. These photos can be accessed through the Disneyland App or through Disneyland.com. The photo is also included with the purchase of Lightning Lane Multi Pass and PhotoPass+ One Day.

If for whatever reason the screens are down at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure’s exit, there is still a chance to get your Disney PhotoPass photo. You can do this at the Disney PhotoPass Concierge at the park exit. Simply tell the cast member the attraction name and the time you experienced the attraction. If a photo exists, they will be able to locate it and give you a link. This must be done on the same day that the attraction was experienced.
