One of Walt Disney World Resort’s two water parks has reopened after being closed for a lengthy time. Disney’s Blizzard Beach is now once again open for guests to enjoy fun in the sun with a bit of a wintery twist. The park is known for its immersive storytelling and snowy theming amid warm, soothing water. It features a variety of family-friendly and thrilling water attractions. This waterpark has reopened just in time for the holiday season.
With the reopening of Disney’s Blizzard Beach, Disney has shared ten ways guests can get into the snowy spirit in a warm, sunny Florida fashion. Check them out here:
- Experience the Thrill: Guests can experience one of the world’s tallest and fastest free-fall waterslides – Summit Plummet – that sends riders 12 stories almost straight down, rocketing through a darkened tunnel and into a massive spray of whitewater.
- “Frozen’’ Fun for Families: Families with young children can step into their own “Frozen’’ adventure while enjoying water fun at Tike’s Peak. Kids under four feet tall can roam across waddling pools featuring whimsical depictions of Olaf and his Snowgie pals, engage in playful battles with pop-up water jets at Anna and Elsa’s igloo fortress, and go down slides designed just for them.
- Teamboat Springs Thrills: Enjoy the perfect thrill for everyone on Teamboat Springs. This unpredictable family raft ride offers a wild journey through twists and turns, navigating one of the longest waterslides in the world. It’s a must-ride for anyone seeking unforgettable memories with family and friends.
- Seasonal Pass Offer: Enjoy repeat visits through May 23, 2025, with the Disney Water Parks Seasonal Pass. This limited-time special offer is back at only $79, plus tax.
- Relax on Cross Country Creek: For those looking to unwind, Cross Country Creek offers a peaceful float along the 3,000-foot lazy river, winding through the park’s scenic landscapes.
- Indulge in New Menu Items: Guests can indulge their taste buds with brand-new menu items that bring both savory and sweet flavors. At Warming Hut, guests will find lunch and dinner options, including the new barbecue pork sandwich with bacon and fried onion straws on a brioche bun. Sweet treats throughout the day include comfort flavors at Icee Expeditions with the new apple pie churro and praline sundae. For those already in the holiday spirit, the premium peppermint shake at Lotta Watta features a vanilla and chocolate milkshake with peppermint beverage syrup, whipped cream, a brownie, and a cherry on top.
- Toboggan Racers: Compete with other guests in a race on mats down an eight-lane, slalom-style, 250-foot-long “toboggan” water slide that features three exhilarating dips and hills.
- Relax in a Polar Patio: Unwind on a private, shaded deck by renting a Polar Patio at Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park. This convenient retreat accommodates up to six guests and includes amenities such as towels, a locker, and ice water available throughout the day. Attendants are on hand to enhance the experience, taking orders for food and beverages while providing souvenir refillable mugs that can be refilled with complimentary soda and water during the day.
- Float in Melt-Away Bay: Experience relaxation in the heated one-acre wave pool, Melt-Away Bay. Guests can float on inner tubes or splash around as gentle waves lap the shore. Mount Gushmore’s waterfalls create short, relaxing swells.
- Join the Thin Ice Training Course: Future ski patrollers can challenge themselves at the Thin Ice Training Course. Participants can test their balance on ice floes, take a thrilling drop on the “T-Bar” zip line that ends with a splash in the water or experience excitement on the enclosed body slide at Frozen Pipe Springs. With attractions like Cool Runners and Snow Falls, guests can enjoy an action-packed adventure filled with snow-themed fun.
As an added bonus, guests who visit Walt Disney World Resort in 2025 will be able to enjoy one of Walt Disney World Resort’s water parks on their check-in day at a Disney Resort hotel.
