Halloween Time is in full force at the Disneyland Resort. From the decor, yummy treats, attraction layovers, Disney villains, and more, there is plenty for everyone to do to celebrate the season.
One fun thing to do at the Disneyland Hotel is dining at Goofy’s Kitchen. Goofy and his friends are celebrating Halloween and are ready to welcome you to their not-so-scary fun and excitement. There is plenty to eat and enjoy at Goofy’s Kitchen as well.
I recently enjoyed dinner there with a friend, and we had a great time! There was no shortage of food, drinks, and desserts. There is definitely something for everyone to enjoy.
When you walk into Goofy’s Kitchen, you’ll definitely gasp with ghoulish delight when you see the dreadfully delicious options available during the dinner buffet. I definitely gasped at the island of desserts and pastries available. There was no shortage of desserts, especially if you love Halloween and pumpkin-themed desserts.
Our server Tyrone was great! He made his guests feel welcome, wanted to find out where they were visiting from, and even gave suggestions from the buffet. He had a smile on his face the entire time, and you could tell that he definitely enjoyed working at Goofy’s Kitchen. He took our drink order shortly after we were seated and he invited us to enjoy the buffet while he got our drinks.
My first plate consisted of fresh fruit, salad toppings, a slice of pork pizza, Caesar salad, and a dinner roll with butter. All of these items were very yummy.
My second plate had some kid-friendly offerings like macaroni and cheese, chicken tenders, and mini corn dogs, I also got a piece of prime rib with horseradish, cheese ravioli with pumpkin cream sauce, roasted Brussels sprouts, and a pumpkin cookie. This had to be my favorite plate of the night.
Yes, I did go for a third plate. For this plate, I got autumn rice pilaf with brown butter, salmon with brown butter and orange butter sauce with tarragon, jumbo shrimp with cocktail sauce, more mac & cheese, mini corn dogs, sweet potato hash, and crème brûlée. The sweet potato hash caught me off guard because it was quite spicy. Everything else was really good though. I did go for more dessert after that plate. I got soft-serve vanilla with Halloween-themed sprinkles and Reese’s pieces.
Since Goofy’s Kitchen is character dining, there is no shortage of characters here. Before entering Goofy’s Kitchen and after checking in, you can get a photo with Goofy in his Halloween outfit. You are also given the choice to take your photo with Goofy after you enjoy your dining experience.
While you eat, Minnie Mouse, Chip & Dale, and Pluto walk around taking photos, giving hugs, and having lots of fun with all the guests. Halloween-themed music is played while dining, and you can’t help but sing along and move to the music. It definitely adds to the fun atmosphere of Goofy’s Kitchen.
There is absolutely no shortage of food and fun at Goofy’s Kitchen. If you’re looking for yummy food and desserts and your favorite characters, Goofy’s Kitchen may just be the place for you and your family and friends. The Halloween theme, décor, and food add to the enjoyment of Goofy’s Kitchen.
Overall, I give this dining experience an 8.5 out of 10! What I enjoyed most about eating at Goofy’s Kitchen is that we didn’t feel rushed to eat or enjoy time with the characters. It was a very relaxed atmosphere. Of course, your experience may feel different, and that’s okay. Just go into Goofy’s Kitchen knowing that lots of fun and yummy food is in order for you and your family and friends.
