We’re back with the third episode of what is proving to be my favorite show right now! I’ll be going over some of the key happenings of the episode and share my thoughts. This will definitely be full of spoilers. So if you care about that sort of thing, come back after you’ve had a chance to watch.
In episode 3 of Agatha All Along, “the coven faces their first perilous trial on The Witches’ Road.” This episode is called Through Many Miles/Of Tricks and Trials.
In this week’s episode, we learn that each witch will have a trial. This week focuses heavily on Jennifer Kale. While traveling on The Witches’ Road the coven comes across a house. Upon entering they are all transformed to look like suburban folks. It is very reminiscent of how WandaVision changed show styles weekly.
Before the main events of the episode, Teen and Jennifer are alone talking and Jennifer warns Teen to be careful around Agatha. She tells him how Agatha traded her son for the Book of the Damned. Also mentioned is that no one knows what happened to him, though some assume he became an agent of Mephisto (I’ll break down who Mephisto is in our Viewer’s Guide). Could the M sygil that appears on Teen’s mouth be that of Mephisto? Only time will tell!
The group is forced to share a bottle of wine which is poisoned with the Alewife’s Revenge. It is up to Jennifer to use her skills as the coven’s potion witch to cure them. Each witch has to face their fears and regrets. Sadly, as the Ballad of the Witches Road predicts we lose Mrs. Hart aka Sharon Davis. This turn is predictable as she was not a witch and did stray from the path. This also leaves the coven needing a green witch, aka Rio Vidal.
Marching ever forward
‘Neath the wooded shrine
I stray not from the path
I hold death’s hand in mine
This was an exciting yet sad episode. Debra Jo Rupp was absolutely a highlight and I’m sad to see her already leaving the show. That being said, I’m thrilled to see how things will connect in later episodes! Is Teen Wiccan or Nicholas Scratch? I still think he is Wiccan but who knows? Will Lilia meet the same fate as her comic counterpart? There are so many questions left open.
As mentioned, I will be updating our Agatha All Along Viewer’s Guide tomorrow with the new theories, characters, and more so be sure to take a peek! Have you been watching Agatha All Along? What are your thoughts so far?
