The Mad T Party Band that originally debuted at Disney California Adventure in 2012 made a one-night only return, thanks to the band Hiatus. This performance lasted a little over 20 minutes and led into Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event on Saturday, August 10, 2024. The last time that the band performed in this capacity was in September 2016 when it ended its run as apart of Disneyland’s Diamond Celebration.
The band was always popular as it played on a stage in Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure. Regulars would frequently return to catch the band and had favorite members, songs, and moments throughout their run. However, for the last eight years the band has only lived on in the memories of those who experienced its performances. That changed when the Honda Center became a concert venue for this brief performance by the band. Following the band’s performance, Patrick Warburton reprised his role as chief flight attendant for some safety instructions. In this case, instead of the instructions being for Soarin’, they were for Horizons: Disney Experience Showcase. This kicked off a night of music, humor, and announcements from the Disney Experiences segment of The Walt Disney Company with Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro hosting. The full video of this showcase can be seen here:
