Disney Treasure Float Out

Disney Treasure Reaches Major Milestone With Float Out at Meyer Werft Shipyard

The Disney Treasure has reached a major milestone as it gets closer to taking guests on nautical adventures later this year. Today it was announced that this beautiful Wish-class ship was floated out of the building where it was constructed into the Meyer Werft Shipyard harbor. The ship is expected to take its inaugural voyage in December.

There were plenty of people on hand for this milestone event. With excitement in the air, spectators cheered for the ship as it made its way out of the building and into the harbor. Even Minnie Mouse was on hand for this part of the ship’s adventure. A tugboat guided the Disney Treasure out of the building in Papenburg, Germany. The move was a tight one with only three feet clearance on each side of the ship.

The Float Out celebrates the completion of the ship’s exterior. The ship isn’t complete, however. Work will continue moving forward on the interior of the ship in preparation for the ship’s transatlantic journey to its future home port in Florida.

The Disney Treasure will take its maiden voyage on December 21, 2024. This voyage will be a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida. This will be followed by the inaugural season of seven-night itineraries to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral. Cruises aboard the Disney Treasure can be booked through Mouseways Travel, the official travel partner of Daps Magic.

Throughout the ship there will be themed experiences of all kind to enjoy. This includes of course the opportunity to meet Disney characters and princesses. There are also some incredible dining options that include a Haunted Mansion-themed lounge and a jazz lounge themed to The Aristocats. Along with some other incredible dining experiences, there will also be some incredible entertainment offerings as well. This includes a new Moana stage show.
