On this day in 2013, the Disney Infinity video game was released by Avalanche Software and Disney Interactive Studios. The game included three worlds at its launch: ‘The Incredibles,’ ‘Pirates of the Caribbean,’ and ‘Monsters University.’ Players placed character figures onto the Disney Infinity base to activate the game in that character’s world. Play Set mode allowed for adventures within a single world, while Toy Box mode allowed personal exploration.
