Magic in the Air Drone Show - Tokyo Disney Resort

Tokyo Disney Resort Announces New Drone Show To Be Presented Across Japan

The Tokyo Disney Resort has announced a new drone show that will be displayed across Japan throughout this summer and beyond. Called, Magic in the Air, this drone show will be seen at multiple fireworks festivals throughout Japan. Tokyo Disney says that it will “deliver dreams and smiles to people nationwide.”

The new drone show will include an impressive 1,500 drones and last approximately 15 minutes. During the show, the drones will fly in synchronization to bring characters like Mickey Mouse along with scenes from different films from The Walt Disney Animation Studios. This incudes scenes from Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid.

Disney characters and movies won’t be the only things represented during Magic in the Air. There will also be scenes that represent the three new areas at Tokyo DisneySea that just opened as a part of Fantasy Springs. This includes Frozen Kingdom, Rapunzel’s Forest, and Peter Pan’s Never Land. Disney promises that these moments will bring to life Fantasy Springs and help those who are watching “feel like they’s stepped into the dreamlike world of Tokyo Disney Resort.”

This is not the first year that Tokyo Disney Resort has sent a drone show out into the country for the Japanese population to enjoy. It has more scenes included than last year’s, however. At this time, the only presentation of Magic in the Air that has been announced is for the Abe River Fireworks Festival in Shizuoka City, Shizuoka on July 20, 2024.

More information about Magic in the Air can be found on the Tokyo Disney Resort website. This adds to the drone shows that are being presented by Disney around the globe. This includes the Disney Electrical Sky Parade at Disneyland Paris and also Disney Dreams that Soar at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World Resort.
