The Disney Treasure will soon be taking guests on magical voyages. The ship, which is set to sail on its inaugural cruise in December, is getting closer and closer to being ready for guests to come aboard. A major milestone was reached recently in the construction of the ship. New photos have been shared showing what a stateroom looks like aboard the Disney Treasure. These photos come just weeks after the final staterooms were installed on the ship.
The Disney Treasure is being built at the Meyer Werft Shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. The process of installing the rooms really is fascinating. Each of the 1,246 rooms for the ship were pre-fabricated at an off-site factory. The process did include a slow-moving conveyer belt. As the cabins are moving along the line, different team members work on building different parts of the rooms. This includes the plumbing, furniture, and everything in between. Upon completion of being outfitted, each cabin is loaded onto a semi-truck and individually transported to the yard. Then things really get exciting! Each room is carefully lifted by cranes and then slotted into position within the Disney Treasure.
The process is very similar to what was envisioned over 50 years ago when the Contemporary was built at Walt Disney World Resort. At the time, it was hoped that this could become a new norm for how hotels would be built.
Disney also shared a look at the work being done just outside of the staterooms. Take a look at what a hallway aboard the Disney Treasure looks like.
The Disney Treasure will be taking its inaugural cruise with guests on December 21, 2024. It will take adventurers on a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida. This will be followed by an inaugural season seven-night itineraries to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral. Cruises aboard the Disney Treasure can be booked through Mouseways Travel, the official travel partner of Daps Magic.
There will be no shortage of magical experiences to enjoy aboard this trip. Some of the highlights that have been announced recently include a Haunted Mansion-themed lounge and a jazz lounge themed to The Aristocats. There will also be a new Moana stage show. Daps Magic is tracking all of the Disney Treasure news and information on a page dedicated specifically to this ship.
