Club Pixar has cut part of the entertainment that is offered during Pixar Fest. The Orange County Register and Journalist Scott Gustin are reporting that a portion of the offerings at Club Pixar at Disney California Adventure have ended their limited time run early. This decision was made after Disneyland officials evaluated guest feedback and operational considerations.
Club Pixar was part of Pixar Fest being held at the Disneyland Resort through August 4. Club Pixar featured a DJ and dancers, and was held in the Hollywood Backlot area of Disney California Adventure from 4:30pm to 8:30pm. Guests of all ages were treated to something closer to the Disney Junior Dance Party which was aimed at a younger audience. There were watch-and-learn country line dancing lessons themed to Woody and Jessie from “Toy Story.” The dance parties also took an interpretive dance approach that was tied to other Pixar movies such as “Inside Out” and “Wall-E.” Those seemed to be more of a watch and kind of participate rather than a rave-like dance party.
While the dancing and DJ portions of Club Pixar may have closed, guests are still encouraged to enjoy Pixar-themed versions of games like cornhole and tic tac toe, photo opportunities, themed food, specially crafted beverages, and even a fun “drive-in” theater that showcases some favorite Pixar Shorts.
The Disneyland App continues to show Club Pixar entertainment offerings minus the DJ and dancing portions.
