There have been quite a few different names for the Marvel Studios’ series revolving around Agatha Harkness. First it was Agatha: House of Harkness. Next, the name became Agatha: Coven of Chaos. This was followed by Agatha: Darkhold Diaries. Earlier this week, Agatha: The Lying Witch with the Great Wardrobe was shown as the title. During the Disney Upfronts this week, it appears that the true title for the series released. And just like that song that went viral, it turns out it was Agatha All Along is the title for the series.
The series takes place after the events of Wandavision. At the end of the series, Scarlet Witch, aka Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), left Agatha Harkness (Katherine Hahn) powerless. This series will have her gaining some unlikely allies as she attempts to regain her powers.
Jac Schaeffer, the head writer and executive producer of Wandavision is returning for the same role in Agatha All Along. Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Mary Livanos, and Brad Winderbaum also executive produce.
Agatha All Along will be arriving on Disney+ on September 18, 2024. There will be two episodes when the series debuts. This has been a common practice for Marvel.
Originally, the series was set to be released in 2023. However, because of the writers and actors strikes, this did not happen. Now it looks like September 2024 will be locked in. This will tell the next chapter of Agatha Harkness. It will also most likely move the story forward in one way or another for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
