New Trailer Arrives for ‘The Famous Five’ Ahead of Hulu Release

A new trailer has arrived for the BBC Studios series The Famous Five. This comes ahead of the six-episode series arriving on Hulu on May 31, 2024. The series promises to be fun for the whole family. It is based on Enid Blyton’s bestselling novels.

The Famous Five stars Diaana Babnicova, Elliott Rose, Kit Rakusen (Foundation), Flora Jacoby Richardson, James Lance (Ted Lasso) and Ann Aknjirin (Moon Knight, I May Destroy You). Guest stars include Jack Gleeson (Game of Thrones), Diana Quick, William Abadie (Emily in Paris, And Just Like That, Homeland), Ed Speleers (You, Outlander, Downton Abbey), Nora Arnezeder, Jason Flemyng (Pennyworth) and Art Malik (Homeland). The Famous Five Official Description

The Famous Five follows five daring young explorers as they encounter treacherous, action-packed adventures, remarkable mysteries, unparalleled danger and astounding secrets.

George, Julian, Dick, Anne and their dog Timmy are young and fearless. Each has their own unique personality. But when thrown together, they become unstoppable. The charming series is built as a summertime adventure with kids in the driver’s seat of their own treasure hunt.

Based on Enid Blyton’s iconic children’s novels, which have sold 600 million copies around the world. 

The series was produced by Moonage Pictures and by NWR Originals and commissioned by the BBC in co-production with ZDF and in association with the Mediapro Studio for Spain, Portugal and Latin America. BBC Studios, who have a minority stake in Moonage, oversee international distribution. Episodes one and two are written by Matthew Read, episode three and four are written by Priya K Dosanjh, with episodes five and six written by Matthew Bouch and Matthew Read. Executive Producers are Nicolas Winding Refn, Matthew Read, Will Gould, Frith Tiplady, Christina Bostofte Erritzøe, Kimberly Willming and Matthew Bouch. Producer is Sophie MacClancy. Tim Kirkby directs The Curse of Kirrin Island, Asim Abbasi directs Peril on the Night Train and Bill Eagles directs The Eye Of The Sunrise.
