Louis the Alligator Statue at Disneyland

New Louis the Alligator Statue Appears Outside Tiana’s Palace at Disneyland

A new statue appeared in New Orleans Square recently at Disneyland. The statue is found near the entrance of Tiana’s Palace and is of the trumpet-playing alligator, Louis. This beautiful statue welcomes people to this new dining establishment that opened last fall at The Happiest Place on Earth. The restaurant serves Creole and Cajun fares that were inspired by New Orleans cuisine.

Daps Magic contributor Steven stopped by New Orleans Square and saw the new Louis statue at Tiana’s Palace. Below are the photos he took of this new statue.

Louis is a trumpet-playing alligator with dreams of becoming a human jazz musician who appears in the Disney animated film The Princess and the Frog. He is a gentle giant with a heart of gold that instantly became a beloved Disney character when the movie was released in 2009. His arrival in New Orleans Square comes ahead of the arrival of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland later this year. This will also see an expansion of the story from The Princess and the Frog into Critter Country.
