Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration debuted on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Disney California Adventure for members of the media and guests in the park. This parade is a new addition to the Disneyland Resort and a part of Pixar Fest. It has a new theme song, new floats, new characters, and is a whole lot of fun! The parade also has over two dozen Pixar pals in it, along with dancers, roller skaters, and bicyclists.
Daps Magic was invited to a media preview at the Disneyland Resort for Pixar Fest and was able to see the first showing of this parade. It can be seen here:
Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration is full of Pixar friends. This includes the following characters:
- Pixar Lamp/Luxo Jr. (kind of a character, right!?)
- Turning Red – Red Panda Mei Lee and her father Jin Lee, her friends Miriam, Priya, Abby, and also 4*Town
- Up – Carl Fredricksen, Russell, Kevin, and Dug
- Soul – Joe Gardner and 22
- Inside Out – Joy and Sadness aboard Bing Bong’s wagon with Bing Bong behind them.
- Luca – Luca, Alberto and Giulia in beautiful Portorossa, Italy
- The Incredibles – Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, and Frozone
- Toy Story – Woody, Jessie, Buzz Lightyear
- Coco – Miguel and Dante
- Monsters, Inc. – Mike Wazowski and Sulley
This new parade lives up to its name. It is full of celebration of the different Pixar celebrations that so many fans know and love. It is very fun to see some of the new stories mixed in with some more classic ones. It also was fun to see the variety of characters included in this parade. It is a lovely addition to the Disneyland Resort and is re-watchable! It is also much better in person than on video so be sure to check it out in person during the Pixar Fest run between April 26 and August 4, 2024.
