Disney ‘Wish’ Coming to Disney+ on April 3

Disney’s most recent animated film, Wish, is coming to Disney+ and it is now known when. Disney Wish will be arriving on Disney’s streaming service on April 3, 2024. This comes after it was recently released for digital download and on blu-ray (review here). Wish tells the story of a young dreamer named Asha who discovers the power of a wish and the importance of everyone having their own. This comes as she lives in a kingdom where everyone’s greatest wishes are given to King Magnifico for safekeeping and potentially to be granted during an annual ceremony. Asha soon finds herself facing off against the king with the help of a star, a baby goat, and some dear friends.

It’s arrival on Disney+ comes as Disney’s streaming service continues to add more titles regularly. This last week, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) arrived on Disney+ (review here). It was also announced that season 14 of Doctor Who will be arriving in May.

Disney Wish was released as The Walt Disney Company celebrated its 100th anniversary. It is packed full of nods to its 100 year legacy that can be found by eagle-eyed fans. Wish was directed by Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn. It includes the vocal talents of Ariana DeBose as Asha, Chris Pine as King Magnifico, Alan Tudyk as Valentino, Angelique Cabral as Queen Amaya, Victor Garber as Sabino, Natasha Rothwell as Sakina,, Jennifer Kumiyama as Dahlia, Evan Peters as Simon, Harvey Guillén as Gabo, Ramy Youssef as Safi, Niko Vargas as Hal, Jon Rudnitsky as Dario
and Della Saba as Bazeema. It has songs that were written by Julia Michaels and Benjamin Rice with a score written by Dave Metzger.
