Disney Dining is about to get a fairly useful and substantial update. Today it was announced by Disney that guests going to the Disneyland or Walt Disney World Resorts will soon be able to see dining availability for multiple days with a single search. Soon guests will be able to see results to their search for any given dining location of up to 10 days at a time. This promises to make vacation planning that much easier.
For Walt Disney World Resort guests, this will allow for the making of reservations 60 days out. This is when reservations become available. That’s right, all ten days of a vacation’s reservations can be made 60 days out from the first day of the vacation. This allows for peace of mind as one’s Walt Disney World vacation gets closer, knowing that dining reservations have already been made.
At Disneyland Resort, guests get preferred access to a limited number of reservations to dine at select Disneyland Resort hotel table-service restaurants during their stay. This can be done by linking one’s Disneyland Resort hotel confirmation to their Disneyland.com account.
For both Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts, reservations can be modified or cancelled at most Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort locations. However, remember that this isn’t the same for every restaurant. Some locations may have different policies so check the dining policy ahead of a visit.
Along with updating the search and reservations for Disneyland and Walt DisneyWorld Resorts, a couple of other updates were highlighted by Disney today. When searching for a restaurant, all available reservation time slots can be seen at DisneyWorld.com, Disneyland.com, and the My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps. Reservations are sorted by breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. This allows for easy decision making on when and where to eat.
For those not looking for reservations but instead are looking for quick service, search results can be sorted by how close they are and also be availability. This means that guests can find the place that will feed them the quickest while also not having to go too far to find it hopefully. Keep in mind, during peak times, sometimes the quickest might be a bit of a walk.
Disney continues to update its user experience on its websites and apps. These dining updates continue to help make for a simpler experience for guests visiting the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts. What do you think about these updates?
