As the rain comes down around Southern California, Knott’s Berry Farm has announced that it will not be opening today. The California Marketplace is also remaining closed. This comes as an atmospheric river continues to bear down on the region. This led to the park closing early yesterday. Knott’s Berry Farm posted the following on its website and social media:
Due to inclement weather, Knott’s Berry Farm and the California Marketplace will not be opening today, February 20. Admission tickets dated for 2/20/24 can be used any other operating day through 4/28/24. Not valid for special ticketed events.
The closure comes as Knott’s Berry Farm is wrapping up its Peanuts Celebration. This continues through February 25th and is a celebration of the lovable characters that were created by Charles M. Shulz. This year, Franklin is highlighted. This comes as a new program has arrived on Apple TV+ that tells how Franklin became part of the Peanuts gang. Throughout the celebration, PEANUTS can be found throughout the park. This includes meet and greet opportunities, entertainment, merchandise, and there is also some delicious fun-themed food.
Weather reports are indicating that tomorrow should see the return of the sun with partly cloudy skies. If this turns out to be true, expect Knott’s Berry Farm to open as normal tomorrow. Daps Magic will continue to monitor this story and report again if there are any impacts to Knott’s Berry Farm’s operating hours.
