One of the more popular attractions at Walt Disney World Resort is now closed for a multi-month refurbishment. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios closed on Monday for a routine refurbishment that will see no changes to the theme. The attraction closed on Monday, January 8, 2024, and is expected to reopen in the summer of 2024.
The attraction saw an extensive refurbishment in 2023 to address issues with reliability. It seems that they weren’t all addressed as the attraction has continued to struggle with reliability. This year’s refurbishment may be an effort to address these issues. Disney has not released specifics about what is being done on the attraction in the coming months.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster takes guests on a rocking ride through Hollywood. Blast from 0 to 57 mph in seconds, scream through corkscrews and loops set to roaring Aerosmith tunes, and feel the G-force as you become a rockstar on wheels in this classic Disney’s Hollywood Attraction.
