The Disneyland Resort has revealed new concept art and new details about this year’s Pixar Fest. The concept art shows a new centerpiece sculpture that will be found on Main Street, USA. It will be found in the same place where the Christmas tree and Mickey Jack-O-Lantern are placed during Halloween Time and the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. The sculpture represents several different stories from Pixar in a whimsical way. Stories represented include Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Up, Elemental, Turning Red, Wall-E, Ratatouille, and Inside-Out at first glance. Underneath, colorful flowers will add to this new photo op and draw the eye up to the different elements found throughout the sculpture. A high quality rendering of this sculpture can be seen below. Pixar Fest will begin on April 26 and continue through August 4, 2024.
Pixar Fest will be a “celebration of friendship and beyond.” There will be new entertainment, foods, and a whole lot more during this celebration. Along with a new parade in Disney California Adventure Park, there will also be an updated returning nighttime spectacular at the Disneyland Park. Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular will light the nights up at Disneyland Park. In a post on the Disney Parks Blog, a new element in this show. One of the updated scenes in Together Forever will include Mei Lee and her friends from Turning Red.
Characters from Turning Red will also be appearing at Disney California Adventure Park in the new parade. Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! will see Mei Lee as the giant Red Panda, her friends, and also a certain boy band they absolutely adore. This parade looks to be both a lot of fun and a lot of energy for guests visiting Disney California Adventure Park during Pixar Fest.
The Disneyland Resort has also indicated that there will be some new Pixar characters to meet during Pixar Fest. This could include Ember and Wade from Elemental and more!
