One of the fun perks of being a D23 Gold Member is the collector set that comes each year. Each year these collector sets are completely different from the last. 2024 is no exception. D23 has revealed what the 2024 Gold Member Collector Set will be and it is magical. This year the collector set is called The Magic & Mystery Box Collector Set. It will be given to new D23 Gold Members and also those who renew as D23 Gold Members. This year’s set includes a Sorcerer Mickey figurine, one mystery figurine, two mystery pins, and a deck of playing cards, as well as a Membership Card and Certificate. Below are the specifics from D23 about this year’s collector set.
Sorcerer Mickey Mouse Collectible Figurine
As Walt Disney once said, “It was all started by a mouse,” and this exclusively designed figure pays tribute to Mickey Mouse’s most legendary film role. In “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” segment of the 1940 animated masterpiece Fantasia, Mickey mischievously commanded the heavens with his magical prowess—and this 6-inch figurine, designed in collaboration with Gentle Giant Studios, captures that empowering, enchanting moment.
Magical Mystery Character Collectible Figurine
Which magical companion will you receive? The first enigma in the D23 Magic & Mystery Box is a mystery animated conjurer, with abilities beyond comprehension, from across the worlds of Disney, including:
- The Genie – Aladdin (1992)
- Maleficent – Sleeping Beauty (1959)
- Merlin – The Sword in the Stone (1963)
- Mama Odie – The Princess and the Frog (2009)
In addition to Sorcerer Mickey, each D23 Gold Member will randomly receive one of the above magical figures—all of which range from 5 to 7 inches in height, and were designed by the wizards at Gentle Giant Studios.*
D23 Enchanted Object Pins
D23 Gold Members will receive two of the following beautifully sculpted pins in each D23 Magic & Mystery Box, randomly selected out of seven enchanted objects from some of Disney’s most revered animated films and attractions:
- Genie’s Lamp – Aladdin (1992)
- King Triton’s Trident – The Little Mermaid (1989)
- Madame Leota’s Crystal Ball – Haunted Mansion (1969)
- Maui’s Fishhook – Moana (2016)
- Miguel’s Guitar – Coco (2017)
- The Madrigal Family Candle – Encanto (2021)
- Yzma’s Llama Potion – The Emperor’s New Groove (2000)
*Sticking true to the mysterious nature of the characters who have inspired this Collector Set, there is no telling which collectibles you may receive, including a rare glitter variant of each Magical Mystery Character figurine! But never fear: If you would like to collect them all, you can try your luck again, as mystery boxes of both the Magical Mystery Disney Character Collectible Figurines and the Enchanted Object pins will be available exclusively to D23 Gold Members later in 2024.
D23 Deck of Destiny Playing Cards
One of the most important tools in any magician’s collection, this finely crafted playing card deck will also be included in your D23 Magic & Mystery Box. Expertly designed just for this Collector Set, the deck includes imaginative illustrations of magical characters and creatures from across the worlds of Disney Animation!
Membership Card and Certificate
Just in time for D23: The Official Disney Fan Club’s 15th Anniversary, a refreshed Membership Card and Certificate—featuring Sorcerer Mickey—will be included for all new and renewing Gold Members!
*The 2024 D23 Gold Member Collector Set, consisting of the D23 membership card (“Card”), certificate (“Certificate”), Sorcerer Mickey Figurine (“Mickey Figurine”), one randomized Mystery Magical Character Figurine (“Mystery Figurine”), two randomized D23 Enchanted Object Pins (“Pins”), and D23 Deck of Destiny Playing Cards (“Cards”), will be available starting January 1, 2024, for new or renewing D23 Gold Members joining or renewing on either a D23 Gold Membership Individual Plan or D23 Gold Membership Duo Plan (sent to the Primary Member). For new D23 Gold Members, the Card and Certificate will ship 2-4 weeks following enrollment, and the rest of the Collector Set will begin shipping by Spring 2024. For renewing D23 Gold Members, the Collector Set will ship after their D23 Gold Membership renewal in 2024, provided that the shipment of the Mickey Figurine, Mystery Figurine, Pins, and Cards will begin by Spring 2024 or following the D23 Gold Member’s renewal date, whichever is later. Limit one (1) D23 Gold Member Collector Set per membership plan.
