Orchestrion Christmas Music Disneyland

Orchestrion in Frontierland Brings Unique Holiday Music to Disneyland Resort

There are two orchestrions that can be found at the Disneyland Resort. One is in the Candy Palace on Main Street, USA and the other is in Frontierland. The Frontierland orchestrion originally was found in the Main Street Train Station before being moved to the Silver Spur Supplies store. This instrument is about 100 years old and was made in Chicago. It is believed that this is a Nelson-Wiggen Cabinet Piano Orchestra Style 6X and was built in 1926. During Halloween Time, both orchestrions could be found playing spirited music for the season. For the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort, there is new music to be found once again.

The Daps Magic team stopped by Silver Spur Supplies in Frontierland to check out some of the new music that is being played on that orchestrion. A couple of quarters later, the following videos had been recorded. The two songs that were recorded were I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Enjoy both of these performances below, courtesy of Daps Magic team members Doug and Angela.
