Only Murders in the Building, the hit Hulu show starring Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, is headed to ABC this winter. The comedy series will be coming to ABC starting in January. It will be aired in two-hour blocks on Tuesday nights. This will start on January 2, 2024. For three weeks, it will air in two-hour blocks with the season finale airing on January 23 in a one-hour slot.
The arrival of Only Murders in the Building on ABC comes after the actors and writers strikes created gaps in the production schedule. This is also being filled with Celebrity Jeopardy episodes throughout January as well. Only Murders in the Building isn’t the only series to make the move from streaming to linear television due to the strikes. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Yellowstone, and SEAL Team have made the jump as well.
Only Murders in the Building just finished its third season and has a fourth one on the way. It is unknown when exactly it will be arriving on Hulu. The series follows a trio of unlikely sleuths who investigate murders that happen around them. They then share the details of their investigations on their podcast. The first season arrived on Hulu in 2021 and earned three Emmy Awards. This included a guest acting win for Nathan Lane. The show is produced by 20th Century and was created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman. They executive produce the series with Dan Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal, Jamie Babbit, Short and Gomez. ABC, Hulu and 20th are all a part of The Walt Disney Company.
