The World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland opens on November 20, 2023. When it does, guests will be able to be immersed in the story of the Frozen franchise like never before. There will be plenty of experiences to be enjoyed with attractions, dining, shopping, and of course, characters to meet when the land opens next month. One Land, Two Areas
The World of Frozen is divided into two areas: the Arendelle Village and the Arendelle Forest. The village is where most of the population lives. It is also the home to Frozen Ever After, Tick Tock Toys & Collectibles, Golden Crocus I,nn and Northern Delights.
The Arendelle Village also has some of the iconic landmarks in the area as well. This includes the Arendelle Castle, Friendship Fountain, Clock Tower Square, and the North Mountain where Elsa’s Ice Palace is found. King Agnarr Bridge was named after Anna and Elsa’s father, who also was Arendelle’s one-time king. This bridge connects to the forest side of World of Forest where Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs, Playhouse in the Woods, Forest ,Fare and Traveling Traders can be found.
World of Frozen Attractions
Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs
Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs is a family-friendly coaster that was built just in time for Summer Snow Day. It is exclusive to Hong Kong Disneyland. Guests will enter through a charming Trading Post that is full of summer treasures and also a collection of winter wonders on display. Oaken will also be found well, greeting guests from his sauna as he wipes away the mist from the window revealing his face.
As guests make their way to the loading area, they will be able to jump on a sleigh decorated with patterns that resemble Kristoff’s sleigh. With the help of Olaf and Kristoff’s reindeer, Sven, guests will then get to go on a ride up the summit and go on an exciting journey through the forest that offers beautiful views of the land.
Frozen Ever After
Frozen Ever After is a charming and magical boat ride that the whole family will love. This takes guests on a cruise through the North Mountain to see Elsa’s Ice Palace, Troll Valley, and more on this musical adventure.
As guests go on this cruise they will find some favorite Frozen friends. This will include Olaf and Sven welcoming people with Do You Want to Build a Snowman? This is at the beginning. Disney shared that these characters are some of the most technologically advanced audio-animatronics figures that have ever been made for Hong Kong Disneyland.
World of Frozen Food
Golden Crocus Inn
The Golden Crocus Inn isquick-serviceice nautical-themed restaurant found in the Arendelle Village. It features a variety of offerings that are inspired by delicious Norwegian homey food. This includes dishes that range from seafood to pasta.
Northern Delights
Arendelle Village of course has a wonderful shop full of sweets. This is found at Northern Delights in World of Frozen. This is billed as an upscale neighborhood sweets shop that has a variety of desserts and sweets, packaged gift confectionery, and even cooking goods.
Forest Fare
Forest Fare walk-up snack shop that is found at the Arendelle Forest. This food cart offers churros, cookies, shaved ice, and more.
Characters
Playhouse in the Woods
Playhouse in the Woods is Elsa’s secret childhood hideaway. This is a first-of-its-kind, unique, and engaging theatrical experience that is found in Arendelle Forest. It features Anna, Elsa, and Olaf who come to life through singing and projection mapping along with other special effects and sensory elements.
Character Encounters
Throughout the land beyond the Playhouse in the Woods, other Frozen friends can be found. This will give guests the chance to see Anna and Elsa in town or Oaken saying “hoo hoo!”. Kristoff might also be around offering advice on ice. All are excited to be there to celebrate Summer Snow Day.
Merchandise
Tick Tock Toys & Collectibles
Tick Tock Toys & Collectibles is a cherished, centuries-old toy shop in Arendelle Village. It also happens to be a great place to find gifts to bring home for yourself or someone else. This toy shop has Olaf-themed headbands, Nordic-inspired sweaters, and a whole lot more. Just outside of the shop is the Royal Post of Arendelle where postcards can be found to send to friends and family.
Traveling Traders
Traveling Traders is a pop-up shop that is located in the Arendelle Forest. This is a location where guests can pick up small gifts like keychains, shoulder plush, headbands, and more.
