In December 2024, the Disney Treasure will begin taking guests on magical adventures at sea for the first time. This newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet will be full of magical offerings that will include dining establishments, activities, and entertainment (to name a few things). The Disney Cruise Line announced today a brand-new original Broadway-style production for the Disney Treasure.
Disney The Tale of Moana will be debuting exclusively on the Disney Treasure in the Walt Disney Theatre. This production will bring the adventurous journey of Moana and be inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios film to the stage for the very first time. This will follow Moana as she heads to see on an incredible adventure to save her island. This comes after she is chosen by the ocean to restore the heart of Te Fiti. For those who love the original film, there are characters that will be instantly recognizable. This includes Gramma Tala, Maui and Tamatoa. All will be appearing on the stage during this production. There will also be songs that will be recognizable from the film’s soundtrack. The other two productions on the Disney Treasure are Beauty and the Beast and Disney Seas the Adventure.
While this show is still over a year away from arriving with the Disney Treasure, casting directors for the Disney Cruise Line will soon begin the search for the performers who will be bringing this production to life on the stage.
