2023 ESPN Events Invitational Matchups Announced For Thanksgiving College Basketball Tournament at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex

The  2023 ESPN Events Invitational first round matchups have been announced for the college basketball tournament at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex during Thanksgiving weekend. The tournament takes place November 23 – 26 at Walt Disney World Resort.

This men’s college basketball tournament includes some solid teams, including four favorites on Thanksgiving Day: Penn State vs Texas A&M, Florida Atlantic vs Butler, Iowa State vs Virginia Commonwealth and Boise State vs Virginia Tech. Six of the teams in the tournament also played in the 2023 NCAA Tournament. FAU even made it all the way to the Final Four. This was a first for the school. Below is a look at the first round matchups for the tournament.

For those teams that win on Thanksgiving, they will be put on a path for the semifinals. The semifinals will be on Black Friday (November 24th). The championship game will then be on Sunday, November 26, 2023. All of these games will be played at the 5,000-seat State Farm Field House at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

Throughout the tournament’s 17-year history, some of the best teams in college basketball have posted for a photo with Mickey Mouse and the ESPN Events Invitational trophy. This includes Gonzaga, Kansas, Florida State, Villanova and last year’s champion, Oklahoma.
