Disney+ Announces Premiere Date for “Ahsoka” and Releases New TV Spot and Photos

The premiere date on Disney+ for Ahsoka was announced today. The series features Rosario Dawson in the title role and will be arriving on Disney+ on August 23, 2023. Along with announcing the premiere date, three new photos were released from the series, and also a TV spot, which will air during tonight’s NBA Finals Game 3.

The TV spot sets up what will be happening in the series as two old friends come together to discuss the return of a threat. Check the TV spot and new photos out below!

Ahsoka takes place after the fall of the Empire. It follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy. 

Rosario Dawson is joined in Ahsoka by stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger. 

The series is written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist is co-executive producer.
