Carrie Fisher to Receive Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

On May 4, 2023, Carrie Fisher will be honored posthumously with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame by the by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. This date is also known as Star Wars Day. Her star will be the 2,754th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony will be emceed by Ellen K, the popular iHeartMedia personality and also a Walk of Famer.  The ceremony will take place at 11:30 AM PT.

Billie Lourd will be accepting the star on behalf of her mother during the ceremony. Other speakers are yet to be announced for this special ceremony. The star will be found at 6840 Hollywood Boulevard near the El Capitan Theatre.

“Fans will be over the moon to know that their favorite movie princess, Carrie Fisher will be honored with her star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame!  Carrie will join her “Star Wars” co-stars and fellow Walk of Famers Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford on this historic sidewalk” stated Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  “I am happy to add, that her star is just a few feet away from the star of Mark Hamill and across the street from the star of her legendary mother Debbie Reynolds!” added Martinez.
