Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and his sweetheart Ortensia the Cat both arrived in their festive outfits at the Lunar New Year Celebration at Disney California Adventure. The two characters were each meeting with guests at Paradise Gardens. Daps Magic was on hand for the first arrival of both characters on the opening day of the Lunar New Year Celebration and videos and photos of their arrival can be seen below.
The duo were appearing separately on the opening day. It is unknown if this is how things will continue throughout the entire Lunar New Year Celebration. Other characters at the location included Mulan, Mushu, Mickey Mouse, and Minnie Mouse on opening day. Raya from Raya and The Last Dragon is meeting with guests in the afternoon into the early evening at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.
Oswald is also appearing in Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession. Ortensia, however, does not appear in the Procession. The Disney characters that appear in the Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession are Mulan, Mushu, Goofy, Chip, Dale, and Oswald.
