Lunar New Year Button Offered to Disneyland Magic Key Holders at Disney California Adventure

Disneyland Magic Key holders who are visiting the Disneyland Resort, specifically Disney California Adventure, during the Lunar New Year Celebration can receive a Lunar New Year-themed button that is designed by artist Ann Shen. The buttons are offered 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM during the Lunar New Year Celebration, while supplies last. To get the button, Magic Key holders can visit the distribution place under the Silly Symphony Swings and show their valid Magic Key on the Disneyland App.

Lunar New Year is back at Disney California Adventure Park January 20 through February 15, 2023! This year we are ringing in the Year of the Rabbit and the Year of the Cat, in celebration of Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures.

For a limited time, Magic Key holders can pick up a special Lunar New Year-themed button designed by artist, Ann Shen.

As is always the case with any free offerings for Disneyland Magic Key holders, this button will be available while supplies last. The times it is offered could also change as conditions in the park change. As a Magic Key holder, please bring kindness and patience to the cast members who are distributing the buttons. They are doing the best they can with the tools they are given and the buttons that are available.

The Lunar New Year Celebration will continue through February 15, 2023. This year Lunar New Year celebrates the Year of the Rabbit and the Year of the Cat. To help with the celebration, both Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Ortensia the Cat are meeting with guests at Disney California Adventure.     Oh I would love one of those buttons! This year will be my first Magic Key, and my first Disney Lunar Celebration! The design on the button is so beautiful! I plan to try my luck to get one. But if I can’t, however, it’s all good. It’s a nice freebie, and the cast members are doing all they can to accommodate the Magic Key members. I never forget how it’s ultimately the cast members who make the true magic of the Disney Parks, and they deserve the utmost respect. I can’t wait to go! Less than 2 more weeks to go!
