Disneyland Paris Participates in European Disability Employment Week

Starting today – and for the twelfth year in a row – Disneyland Paris is showing its support for European Disability Employment Week, an integral part of the company’s year-round commitment to diversity and inclusion. This week, Disneyland Paris will raise awareness among Cast Members, as well as with local teenagers and adults through sessions dedicated to accessibility topics. The resort will also participate in Duo Day on Thursday, November 17, inviting 20 disabled community members to discover some jobs alongside Cast Members who work in Food & Beverage roles across the resort.

Disneyland Paris is focused on providing equal opportunities for employees, continuing to recruit Cast Members with disabilities for all types of roles according to their skills and unique needs. Disabled Cast Members now represent 6.34% of the resort’s total workforce.

We also have an ambitious human resources policy in place to promote the integration of Cast Members with disabilities and those with specific needs through a dedicated Mission Handicap team. The first company agreement focused on accessibility for Cast Members was signed in 1993, and nine agreements have followed since to further enable the development of concrete actions in favor of the recruitment, integration and welcoming Cast with disabilities throughout their career in the company. Disneyland Paris also extends its efforts to young disabled people in the community through school programs and training.

Disneyland Paris is committed to fostering a welcoming environment for all guests and Cast Members. Nearly a year ago, on International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Disneyland Paris introduced a new accessibility program which empowers guests with disabilities and special needs to experience the parks according to their own autonomy evaluation.
