Disney CEO Bob Iger to Host Employee Town Hall on Monday to Discuss Disney’s Future

Bob Iger is back as the CEO of The Walt Disney Company. He has wasted no time getting to work trimming the sails of Disney to get the company headed in the direction he sees as successful. The return of Bob Iger comes after a couple of tumultuous years under the leadership of former CEO Bob Chapek who was unceremoniously fired on Sunday night. Monday morning saw the ouster of Kareem Daniel, who was the Chairman of Disney Entertainment & Media Distribution and seen as Chapek’s right-hand man.

Today, Bob Iger sent an email out to Disney team members saying that there will be a town hall meeting on Monday morning to discuss the future of Disney. Specifics on what will be covered during the town hall aren’t shared. However, Iger shares that the goal is to “build on Disney’s legacy of creativity, innovation, and inspiration.” The meeting will be a chance for team members at the Walt Disney Studios lot to both hear from the new CEO and also ask questions.

This town hall will be exclusive to employees of The Walt Disney Company. Daps Magic will continue to follow the developments of The Walt Disney Company as it enters this new era and will provide updates as they become available and confirmed.

What do you think of this town hall on Monday? Any predictions? Any hopes? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
