Sal Lozano Pairs with Disneyland Resort 2022 All-American College Band for a Jazzy Night

Sal Lozano joined the Disneyland Resort 2022 All-American College Band on Thursday for an incredible jazz night at the Hollywood Backlot Stage at Disney California Adventure. Lozano is one of the jazz clinicians working with the college band this summer. Last week, Duane Benjamin and Mel Collins were the jazz clinicians with the band.

Sal Lozano is a renowned jazz musician. Throughout his career, he has played with many groups including Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band. He has also played in bands with Johnny Mandel and Tom Kubis. His performances can be found on albums with popular artists like Paul McCartney, Natalie Cole, John Legend, Christina Aguilera, Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Lalo Schifrin, Brian McKnight, Michael Buble, Keely Smith, Barbra Streisand, Joey DeFrancesco, and Maynard Ferguson. He has also played on multiple movie soundtracks including Incredibles 2, Straight Outta Compton, LaLa Land, Sing, Joy, The Secret Life of Pets, Joy, Ice Age 5, National Treasure, Legally Blonde, Phineas and Ferb the last three Star Trek movies and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast to name a few. Lozano is a Saxophone professor at California State University Long Beach. He also is a clinician and leads masterclasses around the United States. He has performed live with countless artists and also on television programs. He has an album entitled, Everything’s Gonna Be Great, which can be found here.

The Disneyland Resort 2022 All-American College Band is playing jazz sets nightly at 9:00 pm at the Hollywood Backlot Stage from Tuesdays through Saturdays. They also perform four sets at Disneyland at 4:30 PM, 6:10 PM, 7:10 PM, and 8:00 PM.
