Jungle Cruise Refurbishment

Jungle Cruise and Toy Story Midway Mania Reopens at Disneyland Resort This Week!

Two popular attractions at the Disneyland Resort will soon be open again, one at Disneyland and the other at Disney California Adventure. Both will be reopening on April 24, 2026.

At Disneyland, The World Famous Jungle Cruise has been closed since mid-February. The opening-day attraction has been a favorite with fans through the years. It has seen multiple updates as well. This has led to the changing of scenes, the addition of piranhas, and even a new 3D printed boat being added across from the loading zone for the attraction. Daps Magic took this video of the Jungle Cruise before its closure:

Disney California Adventure will see the reopening of Toy Story Midway Mania on Pixar Pier. This attraction closed earlier this month. It was updated last spring as part for the Disneyland 70th Celebration. This current refurbishment comes ahead of the arrival of Toy Story 5 on June 19, 2026. This will most likely lead to more popularity for the attraction as fans of the film want to connect with some of their favorite characters in the parks. This will include going on their ride in Pixar Pier!

The Disneyland Resort regularly closes attractions for refurbishment. This is part of a bigger plan that Disney has in place to maximize its attractions’ uptime. There are multiple initiatives at Disneyland Resort to keep attractions consistently working and also working as efficiently as possible. Some of the plans for refurbishments are made years in advance.

The reopening of these attractions come ahead of the closure of Pirates of the Caribbean and the Blue Bayou at Disneyland. At this point, there isn’t a reopening date for these attractions.
