Another legacy cast member from The Santa Clause is returning fo the upcoming sequel series, The Santa Clauses. Krumholtz shared the news on Instagram with a video post. The post included the caption: “Couldn’t be more proud to add another chapter to my “The Santa Clause” career this fall in “THE SANTA CLAUSES” on @disneyplus . I think you’re going to love it! I loved every minute of revisiting this character, including this moment, when the hair team pinned my wig on for the first time. Tune in!”
David Krumholtz first appeared in the original 1994 movie as Bernard, the head elf. He helped Tim Allen discover who he was as Santa Claus and become the jolly old elf throughout the course of the movie. He reprised the role in 2002’s The Santa Clause 2. However, he did not return for the Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause.
In this movie, he will be joining other alumni from the franchise includes Tim Allen as Santa Claus/Scott Calvin and Elizabeth Mitchell as Carol/Mrs. Claus. Elizabeth Allen-Dick will join them as Sandra, Devin Bright as Noel, Austin Kane as Cal, Matilda Lawler as Betty, Rupali Redd as Grace, and Kal Penn as Simon Choski.
In The Santa Clauses, Scott Calvin will find himself approaching his 65th birthday and realizing that maybe it is time to hang up his Santa Claus suit. It just isn’t as easy as it used to be. With this in mind, he sets out to find his replacement and also ready his family for a life outside of the North Pole. The movie will also share what Bernard has been up to.
