Daniel Kaluuya Not Returning for ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’

Daniel Kaluuya will not be reprising his role of W’Kabi in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This is the role he played in Black Panther. W’Kabi was a friend and confidant of King T’Challa, who also was in charge of security for the border of Wakanda.

Kaluuya had to leave Wakanda Forever due to scheduling conflicts. He is in Jordan Peele’s new horror Nope. This is due to hit theaters on July 22. Wakanda Forever is set to hit theaters on November 22, 2022. Production wrapped on the film in March.

There isn’t a lot known about the plot for Wakanda Forever. What is known is that Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, Martin Freeman, Angela Bassett, and Winston Duke will be returning to the film after being in the first. They will be joined by at least Dominique Thorne. The film is also known to address what Wakanda is like after T’Challa is gone, and also will be honoring him.
