Ahsoka Star Wars Series for Disney+ Begins Production

The live-action Star Wars Ahsoka series that is being made for Disney+ began production today. A post on social media shared the news. The post shows the director chair with what appears to be Dave Filoni’s cowboy hat hanging on it.

While not a lot is known about the plot for the series, it is known that it takes place in the same timeline window as The Mandalorian. It is also known that Rosario Dawson is portraying the title character. Dawson brought the live-action version of Ahsoka to life in The Mandalorian. The character was originally introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars where Ashley Eckstein shared her voice with the character. It is said that the events of both this Ahsoka series and also that of The Mandalorian are leading to a “climactic story event.”

Dawson will be joined in this live-action Ahsoka series by co-stars Hayden Christensen, Ray Stevenson, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ivanna Sakhno, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo. A release date for the series has not been released at this time.
