New Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Trailer Boldly Goes Back to Before

A new Star Trek: Strange New Worlds trailer shows what fans will be seeing when the next Star Trek show arrives on Paramount+ on May 5, 2022. With Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike of the USS Enterprise, Rebecca Romijn as Number One, and Ethan Peck as Science Officer Spock. Also in the cast are Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Cadet Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas, and Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga. This series boldly goes back to the before… and some other places. The series clearly pulls inspiration from Star Trek: The Original Series while also blazing its own trail. Check out the trailer below:

Official Description for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS is based on the years Captain Christopher Pike manned the helm of the U.S.S. Enterprise. The series will feature fan favorites from season two of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY: Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike, Rebecca Romijn as Number One and Ethan Peck as Science Officer Spock. The series will follow Captain Pike, Science Officer Spock and Number One in the years before Captain Kirk boarded the U.S.S. Enterprise, as they explore new worlds around the galaxy.

The series premiere is written by Akiva Goldsman, with the story by Goldsman, Alex Kurtzman, and Jenny Lumet. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will be streamed exclusively on Paramount+ on May 5th with weekly episodes being released on Thursdays.
