Trailer for Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock Released Ahead of Apple TV+ Arrival

Fraggle Rock is back, well almost. On January 21, 2022, Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock will arrive on Apple TV+. With its arrival, fans will see some return of some recognizable friends and locations, along with some new music and characters as well. The official trailer that was released today, has a new song “There’s a Party Down in Fraggle Rock Today!”

Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock is an all-new Apple Original series that comes from The Jim Henson Company. It will include 13 episodes. This is the second Fraggle series to come to Apple TV+ after the collection of Apple Original shorts Fraggle Rock: Rock On!

This series will see the return of beloved Fraggles Gobo (John Tartaglia), Red (Karen Prell), Boober (Dave Goelz), Mokey (Donna Kimball), Wembley (Jordan Lockhart), and Uncle Travelling Matt (Kevin Clash), along with some new Fraggles and Doozers. These will be voiced by guest stars that include Patti LaBelle, Cynthia Erivo, Daveed Diggs, Ed Helms, Kenan Thompson, and also the Foo Fighters.

Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock is executive produced by The Jim Henson Company’s Lisa Henson and Halle Stanford who are joined by long-time Henson collaborator John Tartaglia. Showrunners Matt Fusfeld and Alex Cuthbertson also executive produce as well as New Regency’s Yariv Milchan and Michael Schaefer. Dave Goelz and Karen Prell are co-executive producers. Harvey Mason Jr. is the executive music producer and Ritamarie Peruggi is the producer.

The original Fraggle Rock ran from 1983 to 1987. It showcased the vocal talents of Karen Prell, Gerard Parkes, Kathryn Mullen, Steve Whitmire, Goelz, and Jerry Nelson. It also featured muppet performers Tim Gosley, Terry Angus, Bob Stutt, and Cheryl Wagner. All 13 episodes of the new series will debut on Apple TV+ on January 21, 2022.
