Spider-Man: No Way Home is Now 10th Highest at U.S. Box Office

Spider-Man: No Way Home continues to break records at the box office as it enters the new year. Currently, it is the 10th highest movie at the domestic box office having pulled in $609.89M. This comes as it overtook Pixar’s Incredibles 2 and is now only $8 million away from overtaking Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Star Wars: The Last Jedi brought in $620.1 million and stands as the 9th hights movie at the domestic box office.

Over the weekend, Spider-Man: No Way Home came in number one at the box office again. This weekend it brought in $52.7 million. In the second place, Sing 2 brought in $19.6 million. This was followed by The King’s Man at $4.5 million and American Underdog at $4.075 million.

As of Sunday, Comscore estimated that the box office had garnered $4.55 billion domestically in 2021. This was a 100% increase over 2020. Gower Analytics, a box office data corp, predicts that 2022’s box office could reach $9.2 billion.

With Spider-Man: No Way Home still only having been at the box office for three weeks, there is still potential for it to continue to break records beyond overtaking Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The next Spider-Man movie has not been announced but producers are working on the future for Spidey’s story.
