Space 220 Opening at EPCOT on September 20, 2021

Space 220, the out-of-this-world restaurant that will soon be open at EPCOT, now has an official opening date. Imagineer Zach Riddley shared the news on social media this morning that the restaurant will be opening on September 20, 2021. Another way to look at it is that Space 220 is opening on 9/20.

Along with revealing the opening date, Riddley shared a preview of what it will be like to take the space elevator up to Space 220. This can be seen in his video below.

Guests dining at Space 220 will get an out-of-this-world experience that begins when they enter a lounge to check in. They will then take a space elevator up 220 miles above Earth to Centauri Space Station. Once aboard the station, guests will wander to their table and see the beautiful panoramic views of Earth outside the massive viewports. They will get to choose from a wide array of gourmet dishes with either a two-course prix fixe menu for lunch or a three-course prix fixe for dinner.

The opening of Space 220 comes just under two weeks before Walt Disney World Resort begins the celebration of its 50th anniversary. At EPCOT, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Harmonious will debut on October 1st as well.
