Star Wars Actors Carrie Fisher, Ewan McGregor, and Ming-Na Wen to Receive Hollywood Stars

Three actors from a Galaxy Far, Far Away will soon have stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Walk of Fame Selection Panel of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce released the names of individuals who will be a part of the class of 2022 Hollywood Walk of Fame this week. This list included Carrie Fisher, who portrayed General Leia Organa, Ewan McGregor, who portrayed Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Ming-Na Wen, who recently brought Fennec Shand. They are just part of a much bigger class that can be found on the Hollywood Walk of Fame website.

Carrie Fisher is known for bringing Princess and then General Leia Organa to life across two trilogies in the Star Wars Skywalker Saga. She also has appeared in films like The Blues Brothers, When Harry Met Sally Soapdish, and The Women. A talented author, she wrote multiple books throughout her career. She also was a script doctor. Most notably she helped with the script for Hook, Sisters Act, and The Wedding Singer. She also helped spruce up multiple Star Wars scripts through the years. Fisher died in 2016. She was made a Disney Legend in 2017.

Ewan McGregor is known to Star Wars fans as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the prequel series of the Skywalker Saga movies. He will soon be reprising this role on Disney+ in a new series. Throughout his career, he has also been known for his role in Moulin Rouge, Trainspotting, and August: Osage County. Recently he also appeared in the title role of Disney’s Christopher Robin.

Ming-Na Wen has the distinction of appearing in three major Disney properties. As a Disney princess, she brought the title role to life with her voice in Mulan. She has reprised this role for the sequel, again for Kingdom Hearts II, and then most recently for Ralph Breaks the Internet. She also was on a Marvel television show in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Agent Melinda May. In the Star Wars universe, she brought the bounty hunter Fennec Shand to life The Mandalorian. She will also be appearing as Shand in The Book of Boba Fett. Her voice can currently be heard in Star Wars: The Bad Batch in the same role. Throughout her career, she also appeared on ER as Dr. Jing-Mei “Deb” Chen and starred in The Joy Luck Club, Street Fighter, Final Fantasy: The Spirits WithinProm Night, and Push. Wen was named a Disney Legend in 2019.

Inductees to the Hollywood Walk of Fame are chosen from entertainment professionals across the categories of Motion Pictures, Television, Live Theatre/Live Performance, Radio, Recording, and also Sports Entertainment. This year’s entire induction class includes:
