The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover has reopened at the Magic Kingdom. This comes six months before Walt Disney World Resort celebrates its 50th anniversary. It also comes almost a week ahead of when it was expected to reopen.
On Friday, Walt Disney World Resort President Jeff Vahle stopped by the attraction and posted on social media saying it would open sometime later this week. Saturday, Stitch stopped by for a ride. On Sunday, guests were lining up in Tomorrowland to board the PeopleMover.
The PeopleMover reopened after being closed since before Magic Kingdom closed last March. The refurbishment continued on through the pandemic after the parks at Walt Disney World Resort reopened. The popular attraction is now letting guests glide around Tomorrowland and get some stunning views of Cinderella Castle.
