There is one more reason to celebrate May the 4th this year. Star Wars: The Bad Batch will be arriving on Disney+ on this day. This show is the next animated series in the Star Wars universe and follows the adventures of the elite and experimental troopers of Clone Force 99. First seen in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, The Bad Batch will now be trying to find their way in a now post Clone War universe.
The squad of clones known as the Bad Batch is different than others in the Clone Army. They have been genetically altered to give them unique abilities. Each member has one exceptional skill. These different strengths create an incredible team that is extraordinarily effective as a military force.
The first episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch will arrive on Disney+ on May 4, 2021. This will be followed by the second episode premiering on Friday, May 7, 2021. Subsequent episodes will be released on subsequent Fridays.
Dave Filoni (The Mandalorian, Star Wars: The Clone Wars) is the executive producer of Star Wars: The Bad Batch. He is joined by executive producers Athena Portillo (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels), Brad Rau (Star Wars Rebels, Star Wars Resistance) and Jennifer Corbett (Star Wars Resistance, NCIS). Carrie Beck (The Mandalorian, Star Wars Rebels) is co-executive producer and Josh Rimes is the producer (Star Wars Resistance). Brad Rau also serves as the supervising director and Jennifer Corbett is the head writer.
