Early Theme Park Entry Coming to Walt Disney World Hotel Guests in 2021

This year, Walt Disney World Resort will be celebrating 50 magical years in Central Florida! As part of this year of change, Disney has announced some of the changes theme park guests can expect on their vacations going forward, like the cancellation of the Magical Express in 2022. This morning, Disney announced that there would be early theme park entry for hotel guests at Walt Disney World Resort later this year!

When Walt Disney World reopened in July, it did not bring back Extra Magic Hours. During Extra Magic Hours, guests of certain hotels could access parks before park open or after park close. This gave guests time to ride their favorite attractions without as large of crowds! With safety in mind during the COVID-19 pandemic, Disney has made the choice to suspend Extra Magic Hours and not have these events return.

All hope is not lost, though! Starting later this year, any Walt Disney World hotel guest will be able to access any theme park 30 minutes early! This early theme park entry benefit will allow guests to start their day a bit earlier and slightly spread out the crowds that you can see at the park open. To access this benefit, you must have an active ticket or annual pass for admission and a park pass reservation for the park you would like to visit. Again, this will be available to any guest staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel and guests of other select hotels!

What do you think of this new early entry benefit? Will you be taking advantage of it if it’s available on your next trip to Walt Disney World Resort? Be sure to connect with us on Twitter and Facebook to let us know what you think!
