The Disney Family Singalong: Volume II Announces Performers

The success of the first Disney Family Singalong has led to The Disney Family Singalong: Volume II. This second presentation of the singalong will be presented on Mother’s Day. It will be a night of some of the world’s favorite stars coming together to sing some favorite Disney tunes as families can sing along at home to the animated Mickey Mouse.

The Disney Family Singalong: Volume II is starting to announce who will be participating. Idina Menzel and Ben Platt will be singing A Whole New World from Disney’s Aladdin. Halsey will be giving an Indie rendition of Part of Your World. Rebel Wilson will reprise her The Little Mermaid role and perform her version of Poor Unfortunate Soul. Hakuna Matata will be performed by Billy Eichner and Seth Rogan who portrayed Timon and Pumbaa in Disney’s live-action The Lion King. They will be joined by Donald Glover and also The Lion King on Broadway’s young Simba, Walter Russell III.

Coming on the heels of the announcement about a Hercules remake, Zero to Hero will be performed by Keke Palmer. Halle Bailey, who will be portraying Ariel in the upcoming version of The Little Mermaid, will be joining her sister Chloe (Chloe & Hall) and Anika Noni Rose to sing Almost There from The Princess and the Frog. Shakira will also be singing Try Everything from Zootopia. Pixar will also be getting some attention as Miguel sings Remember Me from Coco. Finally, Julianne Hough, Derek Hough, and Hayley Erbert will return after performing in the first singalong to do a Mary Poppins medley that will include Supercalifragilisticexpealadocious and Step in Time.

The Disney Family Singalong: Volume II will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest on Mother’s Day May 12th at 7 PM ET on ABC. It will appear on Disney+ in the coming days after. Celebrities will sing Disney favorites from the comfort of their own homes as family’s sing-along at home. The program will also raise awareness and support for Feeding America as it strives to provide resources for those in need during the COVID-19 crisis.
