The Disney Family Singalong was an instant hit this month as stars sang their favorite Disney tunes from their homes. 13 million people joined in their homes to sing along as well. This led to an encore performance of The Disney Family Singalong. Now, there is going to be the second incarnation of it. Today, Disney announced that The Disney Family Singalong: Volume II on Sunday, May 10th at 7:00 PM EDT. This Mother’s Day presentation will be again hosted by Ryan Seacrest. Again, there will be star-studded performances from the stars’ own homes. There will also be choreography in those homes again. The animated Mickey will again lead the music as it bounces over the words. All of this will be brought together to bring more Disney magic into the homes of millions of Disney fans.
This second edition of the nationwide singalong will be airing on Mother’s Day as part of Disney’s Sunday Night Block. It will lead to a new episode of American Idol that will be fully remote and air at 8:00 EDT. As with the first, The Disney Family Singalong: Volume II will then be brought to Disney+ in the following days after it airs.
As with the first one, The Disney Family Singalong: Volume II will be raising awareness for Feeding America’s network and resources for those who are suffering from a lack of food due to COVID-19.
