Today Disney+ revealed that Muppets Now will be arriving on Disney+ on July 31st. The news came as Disney+ celebrates #streamingday. This new Muppet show will be arriving in the U.S., Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and India on this day. It will be an unscripted series with Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and many other favorite friends from The Muppets.
The premise behind the show is: “Scooter rushes to make his delivery deadlines and upload the brand-new Muppet series for streaming. Turns out, the episodes are due now, and he’ll need to navigate whatever obstacles, distractions, and complications the rest of the Muppet gang throws at him.”
Muppets Now is being described as “overflowing with spontaneous lunacy, surprising guest stars and more frogs, pigs, bears (and whatevers) than legally allowed, the Muppets cut loose in Muppets Now with the kind of startling silliness and heartfelt fun that first made them famous.”
It is the first original series from The Muppets to arrive on Disney+. It will have six episodes.
