runDisney Update: Virtual and In-Person Registration Dates Posted

As Disney fans have stayed home during this global pandemic, many of them have been searching for a way to have magic at home. Whether it be through the Disney+ streaming service or watching Youtube videos, there have been many ways that fans have gotten creative. Today, Disney gave fans a runDisney update that would give fans a whole new way to bring the magic home!

Disney has now officially announced the new registration date for the virtual runDisney series and the in-person races. Though they had originally delayed making these announcements while things were still uncertain, here are the dates that have been announced! All races will go on sale at 10 a.m EST.

2020 runDisney Virtual Series (Summer 2020)

  • April 16, 2020 – On-sale date

2021 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend (Jan. 6-10, 2021)

  • May 7, 2020 – Pre-sale for Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members and Golden Oak residents
  • May 12, 2020 – General on-sale date

2021 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend (Feb. 18-21, 2021)

  • June 11, 2020 – Pre-sale for Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members and Golden Oak residents
  • June 16, 2020 – General on-sale date

2021 Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend (April 15-18, 2021)

  • August 6, 2020 – Pre-sale for Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members and Golden Oak residents
  • August 11, 2020 – General on-sale date
