ABC to Air an Unforgettable Night of Music, The Disney Family Singalong, Thursday, April 16

This week ABC announced that it will be airing The Disney Family Singalong. This one-hour television program will celebrate “family, music and the love of all things Disney,” a press release shared. The program will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest on Thursday, April 16 (8-9 PM EDT). It will also feature celebrities with their families as they perform favorite Disney tunes from home.

There will be quite a collection of special guests for this program. This will include both performances and appearances from Christina Aguilera, Erin Andrews, Bobby Bones, Michael Bublé, Kristin Chenoweth, Auliʻi Cravalho, Luke Evans, Jordan Fisher, Josh Gad, Derek Hough, Julianne Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, Little Big Town, Kenny Ortega, Donny Osmond, Thomas Rhett, Amber Riley, John Stamos and others from various Disney entertainment businesses. More names will be forthcoming.

The singalong will be helped by an animated character on the screen that will guide the on-screen lyrics. Some of the songs that will be included are Beauty and the BeastThe Little Mermaid and Toy Story, along with MoanaFrozen and High School Musical.

We hope that we can help create some new unforgettable moments in everyone’s home in a way that only the magic of Disney can,” said Karey Burke, president, ABC Entertainment.

The Disney Family Singalong won’t be just an evening of singing though. It will also raise awareness about Feeding America’s network and resources for people across the country finding themselves facing hunger due to the impact of COVID-19.
