It was another warm Sunday at the Disneyland Resort! Halloween Time continues, and it’s still fun to see all that’s going on.
I got to Disneyland around 11:50am, took the obligatory photo of the train station, and then headed towards Coke Corner. On my way there, I saw that the exterior of the Main Street Opera House was under refurbishment. At the time I walked by, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln was closed. (It reopened later in the day.)
I then arrived at Coke Corner, and picked up my mobile order. I had the Firefly Chips, and got the rainbow Mickey tumbler. Yes, the firefly chips are still available, and they make the perfect snack!
I met up with Mr. DAPs and Caitie at Market House Starbucks for some coffee. We then headed to the Castle to take some photos, and then went back to Coke Corner to enjoy our drinks and the Dapper Dans.
We then headed to Main Street to catch the Mickey & Friends Band-Tastic Cavalcade. It was fun to see Koda and Kenai from ‘Brother Bear’ as well as characters from Winnie the Pooh and ‘Song of the South,’ along with some villains included.
We then made our way to Disney California Adventure. We sat at Sonoma Terrace for awhile just relaxing and trying to keep cool from the warm day. We were people watching as guests were coming in for the Oogie Boogie Bash. There were some great costumes, and there were lots of Nightmare Before Christmas costumes. Our favorite was a couple dressed as Jack & Sally who were dressed as Mickey & Minnie! It was quite fun to see! Around 4:30pm, we headed to Paradise Garden Grill and Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta for dinner.
I got the Chicken Sun-dried Tomato Pesto Pasta from Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta. It had lots of flavor, and you could definitely smell the sauce and cheese from the pasta. Mr. DAPs and Caitie shared the Rainbow Cake, and Caitie said that it was just as good as last year’s cake.
Since Disney California Adventure was going to close at 6pm for the Oogie Boogie Bash, we headed back to Disneyland, and traveled to a Galaxy far, far away. The Stormtroopers were our in full force, as was Kylo Ren and another general.
We then headed towards the Millennium Falcon where Droid Races were going on! It was quite fun to see guests control the Droids through a twisted course. And after seeing some droid racing, we decided it was time for a journey on the big ‘hunk of junk.’ I was an engineer again, and it’s my favorite position on the crew mainly because it’s been the only job I’ve had on any crew I’ve been on. We did fairly well, and only owed Hondo some credits, which is always good! It definitely helps to have a great crew!
After enjoying some time on Batuu, we headed to Main Street Station for a grand circle tour on the Disneyland Railroad. This is always a relaxing trip, and a nice way to enjoy some nice scenery.
Following the grand circle tour, we headed towards Tomorrowland. We sat at Galactic Grill for an hour watching the Villains Dance Party. The Queen of Hearts, Evil Queen, Maleficent, Captain Hook, Smee, Drizella, Anastasia, and Lady Tremaine take part in the Dance Party. It was very fun to see, and it was also quite interesting with some of the dance names they came up with!
After seeing villains dance, we headed towards Main Street to see Halloween Screams. It was fun to see the show, as well as the projections. It’s a fun show, and worth seeing on Main Street to get the full effect with the projections and fireworks.
After Halloween Screams ended, we headed out of Disneyland! Overall, it was another fun day with great friends! You can’t ask for a better day than that!
See you next week for more adventures!
